Week 7: Get Visual A

The social media’s that Weddings at Twin Oaks Golf Course is currently using is Facebook, Instagram, twitter, Pinterest, blogging on the website and the wedding site is also connected to our golf course’s yelp account. Not sure if WeddingWire or theknot count as social media but we’re on there too.

Facebook: following quite a few businesses just don’t know where to see that information and 795 followers. I try to post 2-3 times a week even if it is just sharing the same content from Instagram to Facebook. Facebook is good for our business because everyone needs a Facebook now in days. We have several paid ads that get us likes and potential clients. Facebook also makes communication easy through messenger, people can send quick messages without being formal like and emails and I can respond quickly. Lately, brides have been rating us on Facebook more so than they do on WeddingWire or Yelp which I found interesting.

Instagram: following 620 and 166 followers. It’s hard to say how effective our Instagram account is because I just started it in July. I try to post at least 3 times a week. Sometimes it’s a little more and other times it’s a little less. It’s hard to really get into it because I was never dedicated to my personal Instagram account. But we are followed by many wedding photographers and wedding planners so that is good for business. Clients can see how their wedding photos will turn out if they have their wedding at Twin or even just their pictures taken there.

Pinterest: following 7 and 98 followers. This site gives brides an idea of what our venue looks like and the fun touches that brides before them have done at their wedding. We also have lots of fun table-scapes, golf inspired wedding receptions and photos. But unfortunately, in a sea full of other wedding Pinterest boards we don’t have anything that gives us that extra pop. Our Pinterest is good, but it could be better. I try to post to it whenever photographers send us photos.

The hashtag I always use is #weddingsattwinoaksgolfcourse I know it’s long, but there is another venue down the street that is Twin Oaks House and Garden and we are often confused for the other. Hashtags I typically use are #brides #sandiegoweddings #weddingwednesday #weddingdesserts #weddinginsperation and a couple others.

Companies and pages that our sites follow are our vendors, competition, and general wedding sites.

Week 6: Post B Future Posts

Weddings at Twin Oaks Golf Course has these three post scheduled for the week.

I picked the article about wedding colors because it is from TheKnot.com which is a trusted and popular wedding site. People can look at this then go to The Knot and hopefully also look at our store front there. But if not its a fun easy read for brides.

I then chose to share a wedding album for a throwback Thursday from one of our preferred vendors. This shows off local talent and also reminds the vendor that we are still here and in hopes that they recommend us to clients that have not yet settled on a venue. We have used many pictures from this vendor on our website and other marketing areas.

The last post is from a production studio. This video gives a great aerial view of our venue. It is a little on the long side so I figured that if I posted it Saturday morning around 9:45 people would still be slowly getting their day together, doing some wedding research and have time to watch the video before making calls to book vendors. In addition, the owner of Rugger Productions had his wedding here so by shining some light on the video of his wedding and his company he will return the favor and point couples in our direction.
